Cool Stats Widgets Series – CLICKY Real Time Web Analytics – Meaningful Statistics

About the Widget.  CLICKY widget will not give your readers any great statistics about your site or your visitors.  When you install the CLICKY HTML code on your sidebar or footer all you will see on your site is the CLICKY Image shown to the right. Why do you want CLICKY then?  CLICKY is designed to give you all the information you need about your visitors.  The image above shows the statistics page of the CLICKY site.  The information shown is probably the same you can get through other sites like SITEMETER, Who’s Amung Us, ClustrMap or Flag Counter, but the presentation of the data makes it easy to see and follow.  Please visit GetClicky.com site for details on the statistics and presentation of this widget.

Important Note About the Widget.  CLICKY will be a free service for just one site.  If you have multiple sites to follow, you will have to subscribe to a paid service.  Therefore, make sure you select the correct site to set with CLICKY free service.

How Do I Install This Widget on WordPress.com? Installing the CLICKY widget on your site is simple.  First, obtain the HTML code from GetClicky.com site.  Second, install the code on your blog.  And, you are done.  Please follow the instructions below.

Obtaining the HTML Code

Step A – Visit CLICKY Registration Page.  First step to get your CLICKY HTML code is to register with GetCicky.com.  CLICK HERE.  Register using an e-mail account, select your user name and password.  Then, type the website you want to track.  Remember CLICKY will only allow you to track one site on the free service.

Step B – Complete Your Account Setting.  Once you register you will land on the Default Settings Page.  Go ahead and complete the requested information.  You can set your site nickname, language, time zone and daylight savings time.

Step C – Copy the HTML Code.  After selecting your default setting, you will arrive at the Java Code Page.  DO NOT COPY THE CODE PROVIDED.  JavaScript codes do not work on WordPress.com.  You will need to click at the Non-JavaScript Tracking Code link under the shown code.  This will bring up the non-java HTML code you need.  Click inside the box and copy the non-java code.

Installing the Code on Your Blog

Once you have copied the HTML code, you can install the widget in your blog. Follow this instructions on How to Install HTML Code on Your WordPress.com Blog.
